コンテンポラリーダンスルーシー・ゲリン率いるメルボルン発の国際的に有名なコンテンポラリーダンス・カンパニーLucy Guerin Incによる、日本初公開の舞台『Split』が、東京・青山で開催される日本最大のダンス・フェスティバルDance New Air 2018で上演されます。

Dance New Air 2018で上演する作品「SPLIT」の出演者Melanie LaneとLilian Steinerとともに一連する動きのフレーズや即興シーケンス
The workshop will be given by Lucy Guerin with performers Melanie Lane and Lilian Steiner. It will begin with a warm-up and then introduce some of the choreographic material and creative processes from Split. This will include set movement phrases as well as improvised sequences.

【講師プロフィール】
Lucy GUERIN | ルーシー・ゲリン
オーストラリアのアデレード生まれ。1982年、Centre for Performing Artsを卒業後、Russell Dumas (Dance Exchange)、Nanette Hassall (Danceworks)のカンパニーに参加。89年にニューヨークに移り、7年間活動。そこでTere O’Connor Dance、Bebe Miller Company、Sara Rudnerと共に踊り、自身の振付け作品のプロデュースも始める。96年にオーストラリアに帰国すると、インデペンデントアーティストとして活動し、『Two Lies』（96）、『Robbery Waitress on Bail』（97）、『Heavy』（99）、『The Ends of Things』（00）といった新しいダンス作品を創作。02年には、メルボルンでLucy Guerin Incを立ち上げ、コンテンポラリーダンスのコンセプトと実践への挑戦・発展にフォーカスした新作公演の立ち上げ、クリエーションやツアーのサポートを行っている。
Born in Adelaide, Australia, Lucy GUERIN graduated from the Centre for Performing Arts in 1982 before joining the companies of Russell DUMAS (Dance Exchange) and Nanette HASSALL (Danceworks). She moved to New York in 1989 for seven years where she danced with Tere
O’Connor Dance, the Bebe Miller Company and Sara RUDNER, and began to produce her first choreographic works. She returned to Australia in 1996 and worked as an independent artist, creating new dance works including “Two Lies” (1996) “Robbery Waitress on Bail” (1997), “Heavy”(1999) and “The Ends of Things” (2000). In 2002 she established Lucy Guerin Inc in Melbourne to support the development, creation and touring of new works with a focus on challenging and extending the concepts and practice of contemporary dance.
