Myrna Kamara
She studied at Washington Ballet School and the School of American Ballet. From 1984 to 1989, she was a member of the New York City Ballet where she danced roles in ballet by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Peter Martins, etc. From 1989-90, she was a principal dancer in Bonn, Germany where the role of Nubiana from Spartacus was created for her. In 1990, she was a principal dancer in Miami City Ballet. From 1996 to 1999, she danced for Maurice Bejart in Switzerland and performed several of his ballets. She has appeared as a guest artist throughout the United States and Europe. She has also pursued teaching and coaching globally to young talents.
