This audition is for two works instruction by Giovanni di Palma, “Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 3” choreographed by Uve Scholtz and “Le Spectre de la Rose” Choreographed by Marco Goecke, it on July 16 and 17, 2019.

【Qualifications and conditions】
◯No restrictions on age or nationality.
Le Spectre de la Rose is only for men.
◯Must participate in rehearsals and performance during the following times
［July to August 2019 ］
Weekdays 12:00-19:00、Sunday
［Sep. 2019 〜 May 2020］
Plan to rehearse about twice a month
［June and July 2019 ］
Weekdays 12:00-19:00、Sunday
［1st Aug. to 4th Aug, 2020］
Everyday 12:00-19:00
［5st Aug. to 9th Aug, 2020］
All days for performance or/and rehearsals in the theatre
【Fees】
5,000 Yen
＊Please pay in cash on the day.
【Belongings】
Dance clothes such as tights. (we need to be able to see your body and lines)
Ballet shoes
Female is required to also be on pointe.

【conditions】
◯We will pay a fixed amount as cast fee.（including transportation expenses and taxes.）
◯There is no ticket quota etc.。A sales commission will be paid to those who sell the ticket。
◯You can take the open class for free on rehearsal days.

Giovanni di Palma｜ジョヴァンニ・ディ・パルマ
Born in Italy, Giovanni started his first ballet class at the age of five. After scholarship in Rome, he has been working in France and Germany. In 2001, he becomes principal dancer of Uwe Scholz Leipzig Ballet. Starting an international career, a guest artist in Hong Kong, Miami, Tokyo and everywhere in Europe. He also receives many awards such as “Anita Bucchi” for the career in 2009 and “Star of the Ballet 2000” in 2008. Ballet master and coach in many companies and main member of “Scholz Legacy” to teach and restage ballets of the German choreographer.
【Jury】
酒井はな｜Hana Sakai
Ballet Dancer / Dance Unit Altneu Born in Seattle, Washington, USA.Began ballet at age 5, and has studied under Toshiaki Hatasa since then. She entered the limelight when chosen to dance the role of Cupid in Don Quixote (all acts) in a performance by the Asami Maki Ballet Company. Moved to the New National Theater Ballet on its opening, and danced the main role of Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, the theater’s inaugural ballet, opposite Japan’s best-known prima ballerinas, Yoko Morishita and Miyako Yoshida. Since then, has been one of the central dancers in the Theater. Mainly involved in classical ballet, but has also been active in exploring contemporary dance and musicals, forging new frontiers. Regarded to be one of Japan’s premier ballet dancers, with excellent technique and expression, enchants audiences with sophisticated performances. Currently a Honorable Dancer of the New National Theater Ballet Company as well as forming a contemporary dance unit Altneu with her partner Yasutake Shimaji. Her repertoire is diverse, including all the major classical full length ballets, as well as works of contemporary choreographers such as Nacho Duato, Marco Goecke and Christian Spuck.Sakai has received numerous prestigious prizes and awards, such as the Award from the Ministry of Education in the Art Encouragement Prizes in 2009, the 35th Nimura Dance Prize in 2015, Medal with Purple Ribbon in 2017 from the Japanese Government, and the Special Award from the 39th Akiko Tachibana Foundation Award in 2018.
