Sergei Vanaevセルゲイ・ヴァナエフ
1967年ロシアに生まれる。
1977年、ボリショイ・バレエ学校入学。1985年、同校を優等で卒業。同年、ナタリア・カサトキナ、ウラジーミル・ワシリョフ率いるモスクワクラシックバレエ団入団。1991年、デュッセルドルフのハインツ・シュペルリ率いるドイツ・オペラ・アム・ラインにプリンシパルとして入団。在籍していた５年間に、ハインツ・シュペルリ版「白鳥の湖」のジークフリード王子等、ハインツ・シュペルリ作品をはじめ数々の世界的な振付家の作品で主演を務める。1996～1997年、ワレリー・パノフ率いるボン州立劇場でソリストを務める。この頃からダンサーとして踊る傍らダンサー達の指導にも携わるようになる。1997年～2004年、ドルトムント州立劇場に在籍。2002年にはディレクターの振付アシスタントに就任。1998年より創作活動を開始。2004年よりブレマーハーフェン州立劇場バレエ団のディレクターを務めている。今までに振付した作品は100以上に及ぶ。2007年には国際マヤ・プリセツカヤ＆ロディオン・シチェドリン財団より「マヤ・プリセツカヤ賞」を授与された。ブレマーハーフェン州立劇場バレエ団は彼のリーダーシップの下、力強く実力のあるカンパニーへと発展し、ヨーロッパ内外でガラやツアー公演を定期的に行っている。カンパニーは毎シーズン４つの新作を上演し続けている。カンパニーは2016年、ヘルツリープ・コフート・ドイツ劇場賞を受賞した。
Sergei Vanaev was born on April 15th,1967 in Russia.
In 1977 he was accepted into one of the most renowned schools of ballet, The Ballet Academy of the Bolschoi Theater. He graduated with honors in 1985.
In the same year Sergei Vanaev was contracted by Moscow Classical Ballet directed by Natalia Kasatkina and Vladimir Vasiliov.
In 1991 Heinz Spoerli offered him a contract as a principal dancer in the company of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, in Düsseldorf, Germany. He debued as Prince Siegfried in Heinz Spoerli’s opening season ballet of “Swan Lake”. 5 years of diverse main roles in the works of Heinz Spoerli and other world famous choreographers followed.
During the season of 1996-1997 he was a soloist under the direction of Valeri Panov in the city of Bonn. Parallel to his dancing, he partially overtook the responsibility of training the company dancers.
The following 8 years 1997-2004, he was under contract with the Theater Dortmund and in addition to dancing, he continued to meet the challenging responsibilities of training the company and was assigned the position of choreographic assistant to the ballet director in 2002.
In 1998 Sergei Vanaev began choreographing his own works.
Since the theater season 2004/2005 Sergei Vanaev has been artistic director of the ballet company of the Stadttheater Bremerhaven. He lists over 100 choreographies, during his professional career.
In 2007 he was honored with the “Maya Plisetskaya Award” from the “International Maya Plisetskaya and Rodion Shchedrin Foundation”
The Ballet Bremerhaven Company, under the leadership of Sergei Vanaev, developed into a strong and successfully acknowledged company, participating regularly in Galas and touring, also outside Europe. The company stages 4 new productions every season.
In September 2016 the company under Sergei Vanaev's leadership , won the Herzlieb-Kohut German Theater Prize.
