カナダのトロント生まれ。
カナダ国立バレエ学校を卒業後、カナダ・ロイヤルウィニペグバレエ団でソリストを務める。
その後カナダ国立バレエ団、アルバータバレエ団にてプリンシパルとして活躍。
これまで、ウラジミール・マラーホフやロバート・テューズリー、マニュエル・ルグリ、カレン・ケイン、イヴリン・ハート、アレクセイ・ラトマンスキー等と共演し、アンソニー・ダウエルやミハイル・バリシニコフ、フェルナンド・ブホネス等と創作を共にする。
また、カナダ、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジアの各国からゲストダンサーとして招かれる。

2010年に20年以上続いた現役生活にピリオドを打つ。
引退後はカナダ、アメリカ、日本などで指導者として従事。
また、トロント・キワニスダンスフェスティバルや九州国際ダンスコンペティションにて審査員も務める。
そして現在は、カナダ国立バレエ団やバレエBC、バレエヨーゲン、ゴーバレエにて講師として活躍中。

マイケル・フェイゴー先生ラストクラス！
Michel Faigaux was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and is a graduate of the National Ballet School. Upon graduation, he was hired into Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet where he was promoted to soloist. Michel continued his classical ballet career with the National Ballet of Canada and Alberta Ballet where he was a Principal Dancer. Michel has been lucky to dance alongside such dancers as Vladimir Malakhov, Robert Tewsley, Manuel Legris, Karen Kain, Evelyn Hart and Alexei Ratmansky, and has worked with such names as Sir Anthony Dowell, Mikhail Baryshinikov, and Fernando Bujones. Michel also spent many years as in International Guest Artist, performing in Canada, the USA, Europe and Asia.
After more than 20 years performing in classical ballet, Michel retired from the stage in 2010 and has been an active ballet teacher and coach around the world including Canada, the USA and Japan. He has been on the jury as a guest judge at the Kiwanis Festival in Toronto, Canada, and at the Kyushu International Dance Competition. Michel is currently on staff at the National Ballet of Canada as a guest teacher, and has regularly taught for Ballet BC, Ballet Jorgen, and Goh Ballet in Canada.
